I didnt work today and stayed home to watch the Michael Jackson memorial service so I thought it befitting to title this post after an MJ song. Wearing Rocawear Best Friend Jeans with a cuff added, men's wifebeater with a lilac NY and Co. tank underneath. Shoes are from Shoedazzle.

Review: Revlon Runway Nails

Generally I'm not a false nail gal as my nails grow long naturally. But when one of my nails broke about a week ago I had no choice but to cut them all down to make them even. That was my chance to finally try Revlon Runway Nails. I've had acrylics before done at the salon and I was skeptical that these would compare. Surprisingly they were easy to put on (I expected to have glue and mess everywhere) and looked like I just came from the nail salon. My only qualm is I let a few air bubbles get under nails which other people didnt notice, but I did. They come with a nail file for prepping your natural nails, glue and an orangewood stick.
 

They lasted a good 4 days until one of them popped off. And it just so happened that it popped off right before going out. One of my friends grabbed something from my backseat and was like "um, is this your nail?" lol. Overall I would give them a B+. They are great for special occassions and have several designs to choose from. My technique could improve as I didnt file my natural nails too good cause I was worried about damaging them and I think the air bubbles contributed to their demise too. Ill try them again and try to do a better job applying them. Also stay tuned for a givaway!!

My MJ Favorites

Sorry I've been M.I.A lately. I've just been soaking in the tragic event after event from the past 2 weeks. R.I.P Farrah Fawcett, Ed Mcmahon, David Carradine, Billy Mays and the King of Pop Michael Jackson. I've been inundated with MJ tribute songs and videos for the past week and here are my absolute favorite videos.

I love that it's just Michael and Naomi Campbel in the Keep It In The Closet video. And she looks absolutely gorgeous. Flawless skin, perfect hair and I must've froze the video on the shot of her makeup at least 3 times.

I wish Michael and Janet wouldve done more brother and sister duets cause Scream is my second favorite MJ video. Do you see the trend towards black and white? For some reason Im drawn to them..I think they accentutate the actual artists in the videos and make you appreciate and focus on the art.

LuxeConnect Custom Swavorski Covers

I"ve had my Blackberry Pearl for over 2 years now and it's time to upgrade. After carefully researching the pros and cons I decided to get the Blackberry Storm. Since I have Tmobile I'll be looking for an unlocked one from a reputable Ebay seller. While perusing to compare prices I came across the most gorgeous, blinged out smartphone covers I've ever seen in my life. I love crystal designs on phones but want to dry heave when I see the cheap, plastic stick on rhinestone covers sold by most sellers. With Luxconnect that is far from the case since they use genuine swavorski crystals among other gems. They run on the edge of being gaudy but I think a true diva can pull them off. Also the cases easily slip on and off if you want a more conservative look.  If you do not see a design that immediately catches your eye (I dont see how that is possible) you can contact them for a complete custom design.

New Sandals..

Got these gladiator inspired Report sandals from the Macy's shoe sale. Buy 2 and get 20% off your total order. My other pair was a pair of Carlos Santana crystal flip flops. What motivated me to go get more shoes is because I realized I have no flat sandals!! Everything in my closet has a 3 inch heel or higher! I needed flat shoes for more casual looks and since the one pair of black flip flops I had broke (don't even ask me how that happened) I had to get more.

Kiss it or Diss It? Rihannas Beasting Out

Ok I'm not sure if I love or hate this look. I'm all about stepping out the box but having a gorilla on your dress just doesn't scream glamour to me..I dunno call me crazy. Other than the angry monkey  the dress is hot. What do you think?

Loving Mac Solar Clusters!!!

Last night I worked as a promotional model. I had to be dressed and at the account at 9pm, just finished working out at the dojo at 6:45pm, plus had to grab a bite to eat before hand which meant I had minimal time to get my look together. I used Mac Solar Cluster pigment from the Style Warriors collection as a highlight on my cheekbones and collarbone and absolutely love it! As you can see it creates a nice sunkissed finish.
