Holiday Hiatus...

Hello Lovelies!
I hope your holidays bring you everything you are wishing for...especially those style and beauty related! I've taken an unofficial hiatus from posting but will be back shortly. The past 2 weeks have been filled with finals and holiday mayhem (but good mayhem nonetheless). I have lots of things to share and post about so stay tuned!

Asian Inspired Makeup Challenge

Over at LHCF we are doing weekly artistic makeup challenges. This week's theme was Asian Inspired and our inspritation photo is below.

Here is my look below. I used Loreal HIP eyeshadow paint in Steely, Horeal HIP creme eyeliner, Urban Decay shadow in Oil Slick, Mac pigments in Gold Dust, Basic Red and Gold Glitter, and false lashes that had an untimely death before I was able to snap photos. I damn near poked my eye out trying to get those things on! I also recorded a tutorial but when I was done I realized the camera wasn't on. Duh! So I did a quick video describing how I did the look. We’re going to try to work something out  on how to manage the list as, it’s getting quite long. You Need Some Spats in Your Life Don't Cha???

Again I couldn't sleep and while browsing I Etsy discovered the wonderful fashion gems that are spats handmade by seller Ashes and Empires. I hadn't heard of them until tonight and now I desperately need some in my life! They simply fit over your heels giving them a completely new and might I add edgy Gothic Lolita-esque look. Who says your black heels are destined to be mundane? Never again with these babies! They work double duty by also keeping your feet a bit warmer in winter weather.

Sweat Shop by TiqC is making me want a corset!

Driven by another bout of insomnia I ran across this lovely item on Etsy. It's a handmade corset listed by a seller by the name of Sweat Shop by TiqC. My first thought was this brocade Hello Kitty corset is so gorgeous and elaborate I could only wear it if I had a decadent profession such as burlesque dancer or dominatrix. On second thought I could easily pair this with a slim black skirt for a cocktail party or with dark skinny jeans for a night at the club. I love being over the top! Not to mention if paired with a G string it would be the perfect outfit for some lovey dovey..kiss kiss. If this is still available after I do all my Christmas shopping I will be getting it.
