DIY Slashed Leggings

On a whim I decided to transform my boring black cotton leggings into some fierce slashed ones. The project was ridiculously easier than I expected, although I have to admit I was a little terrified at the thoguht of taking scissors to fabric in the beginning. I folded the leggings in half lengthwise where I wanted the cuts to be and made several cuts at a time. Since I have slight OCD I wanted the slashes to be symmetrical...ie. in the same location on both legs and the same number number of cuts.

These tights cost of all of $6 courtesy of Target. I've been seeing a lot of unique leggings lately that are to die for and I'm on a DIY mission to recreate most of them...more projects coming soon.

Forget the outfit! I was all up in La La's boots when the photos from the Instyle Summer Soiree went up. I'm gonna order some swarovski crystals and get on my grind cause I have a lot of projects in queue.
